Adult Acne
Normally most of the people get affected by acne in teenage life but when a man or women gets acne at age of 30 or 40 then it becomes difficult to come out of distressful situation. Some may keep on thinking "Acne at my age", some may even refuse to show it to the world. There is growing evidence that acne is also a hereditary disease. Research conducted on women who have developed acne in their teens and who continue to experience breakouts. Acne is most common skin disorder which is found among the teenagers. Acne is a disease that resulted from the accumulation of sebum, a highbrow term for oil, underneath the skin. The face is usually the first place for adult acne to appear, and may also form in parts of the body. Adult acne is one visual issue that is quite prevalent in the real world, nearly 25 percent of men, and about 50 percent of women from their twenties and even in their fifties may still experience having adult acne. Adult acne is similar like teenage acne; it is still not curable as doctors and dermatologist believe that its roots may be traced to hormonal imbalance. Overproduction of oil and mismanagement of the process of shedding cells equals bunged pores. Clogged pores plus P. acnes, the scoundrel, equals breakout. Those pesky zits are produced just as easy as that. The best treatment that you can avail of is maintaining proper skin care and a healthy personal hygiene. A person who is infected with adult acne should limit sun exposure and should avoid oil-based cosmetics. Regular washing of the affected area cleanses the bacteria and clogged pores. It is also recommended that one consult with a dermatologist.
Take a bath everyday, and use mild soap only so that your acne won't further develop into an infection. Take enough sleep and rest. It will relax your skin pores and eventually prevent acne from developing.
Acne lesions are commonly found on the face, but they can also pop out anytime on the neck, chest, back, shoulders, scalp, and upper arms and legs. Adult acne is more persistent than teen acne. It is because adults are consistently exposed to the many factors that cause breakouts. Another hitch of adult acne is permanent scarring.
Another hint especially for women: use NON-COMEDOGENIC products. Non-comedogenic basically means anything that does not clog skin pores or cause acne. Do your homework and look for as many non-comedogenic versions of the skin care products you use.
