Maximize the Power of Your E-book by Adding the Option of Branding

E-books and electronic information have seemingly been around since close to the dawn of the Internet. However, the technology that has evolved to make e-books more profitable is cutting edge. If you've ever published your own e-book, you know how easy and profitable it can be. What you may not know is that your e-book could pack a greater punch with the power of branding.

Branding is taking an embedded link such as http://www.website.com in your e-book, and allowing the purchaser of your e-book to change the link to include their affiliate link to look something like http://www.website.com/myaffiliateid. You may be saying, great, so you can let them change a link, big deal. Well, this can be a great big deal if you use this tool correctly.

Let's say you have an affiliate account for a product X. And your affiliate ID is productXseller. Well, if you can embed your affiliate link into your e-book such as www.productX.com/productXseller, and then allow your affiliate link to be re-branded to your buyer's ID to look like www.productX.com/productXseller's-affiliate you can generate a lot of passive income. This is useful for affiliate programs that allow you to earn credit for what your affiliates or "down-line" produce.

Another benefit of making an e-book brandable is that it gives your readers an incentive to pass on your book. This gets it into more hands typically than a standard e-book. It gives the buyer something that is in it for them. If they re-brand your e-book and then pass it along, chances are so will their customer and so on.
