The Difficulties In Building An Online Business
First of all you get very excited about starting an online business, you read about this person making $1000 a day or this other one making $50000 a month doing nothing. What actually is true? Do people make this sort of income or are they just lying to attract your attention. As a new comer to online businesses you get bombarded with all manner of offers that are supposed to be the greatest new chance. Personally I have got to the stage of ignoring most of the fluff and filler stuff. First of all you have to decide what you are going to sell of what type of service you are going to offer you customers. So you decide to do some research for what sells the best, now the fun really starts. The first thing you find is that is it very difficult to phrase your searches so that you get the information you are looking for, you wonder if the search engines can ever get it right.
You finally find something that you think you can do, more problems arrive in the form of more offers. All sorts of things you have never heard of, Affiliate links, text advertising, forum searching opt-in lists, in the finish you are even more confused. So you start to look for E-books on marketing etc, your email box becomes a nightmare to empty, what to keep what to throw out. However through all this you know that information sells, forget the big ticket items that require storage and then freight charges to ship them all over the world. You soon realize that really you should have your own website and domain name, at least that way you look like you know what you are doing even if you dont.
So you about setting up a website, or having one built for you, the later option is often very expensive. You register a domain name and you are away with your business but wait, how you going to except payment for your goods. Right now you have to setup a merchant account with some reputable company, hell this is starting to become expensive, will I ever recoup my money you ask yourself in a very doubtful way. You finally decide to carry on because you have come too far to quit.
Ok you have a website up and running, you have a few products for sale, or you may have opted to function as an affiliate for other peoples products. You even have a credit card payment system in place, be it your own merchant account or Paypal, Click bank or some other very good third party. You proudly tell anyone who asks what you do, that you are a internet marketer, or some other fancy title that sounds impressive. You know that you on to a winner, you will soon be depositing checks everyday. However after a week or two you are confused, everything is all set up nicely but you are not selling anything.
Why is this you ask yourself? What am I doing wrong? Answer TRAFFIC you have no traffic to your website. You can have to most spectacular looking website, with all the bells and whistles, but without traffic you have nothing, and nobody even knows you are out there. What do you do, Ill tell you what I did. I went in search of ways to increase my traffic. Now be very careful here, there are just as many bad ways as there are good ideas. You decide to submit your site to the search engines; however that take a very long time to be successful. What now you ask yourself? You spend more money on having your site address blasted all over the internet, this must work you say to yourself. However the company that blasted your ad all over the place has been called a spammer and you have lost your money.
In your travels all over the internet you have read somewhere that you need a list, what sort of a list you say? A list of potential customers. A list you can use to run advertising campaigns with. Right now this is just where I am at right now. I am in need of a big list of targeted customers. Yes I am speaking for myself here, I do need a list and so will you if we are going to become a successful business on the internet. Here is the punch line if you like, yes I need a list but have no idea how to get it. I am not going to waste money on buying a ready made list; no I have to build it myself.
Any business on the internet has to have that list or masses of traffic to your sites. I am asking here for myself, I would like to know just how to build this list step by step. When I build this list and become a bit more known on the internet, I would be happy to endorse any product that has helped me be successful in the building of a list. I do not plan on spending a great amount on products that are shady or hard to understand. Please, Please I need help and will consider every offer I receive for help in this matter. I know from experience that I am not the only one in this position and we all need some help. I would love to hear from anyone also in this position; we may be able to help each other.
