The Expert Within - Defining Your Successful Business

What is success? Nothing other than a choice. You must choose to be successful long before results ever materialize in the physical world. Do you know someone who always seems to be lucky?. Conversely, do you know someone who seems to always be experiencing some sort of personal crisis?, Illness, financial setbacks? Each of these results is the physical manifestation of the inner reality. Acceptance of this universal human truth is the beginning of creating positive change in your life.

Identify an area of your life you enjoy and consider yourself good at. Consider this Ground Zero for development of your successful business. Once you have identified a skill, talent of area of special expertise you now possess the key to your personal happiness and financial success. When you share you personal knowledge a sense of confidence, competence and wellbeing takes over.

My point here is that in order to locate success you must first locate the expert power center within. yourself Once you are clear on who you are and what it its that you love to do you will be able to find a market for your special talent and passion. There are no limits to your potential once the power center is established.

Defining your Successful Business Step by Step\r

  3. Speak with at least two new people a day who share your interest
  4. Mastermind with others discuss and define on paper your ideal day in your business
  5. Work backwards from your ideal day and income - determine what you would need to do to achieve that outcome
  6. \"There is nothing wrong with castles in the air so long as you build the foundations under them\"

Here are two successful \"Expert Within\" business development stories

A woman I know loves to knit. A little over a year ago she was whining to me that she did not have time to finish her projects because she had to go to her JOB in a retail store. I suggested she make a career out of her passion for knitting. Soon friends were asking for her help on their projects. She developed a lively knitting circle and began giving classes and private lessons. She has since gone on to found a successful retail knitting enterprise from her home - teaching classes, retailing products, and acting as resident expert on a nationally published knitting magazine.

Another example is the Pawsitively Awesome business founded by the unemployed dog lover who began walking dogs to supplement unemployment. Within one year she had 10 employees, a doggie daycare businesses complete with retail store and doggie transportation bus.

My advice: go out and do what you love - love what you do. This is the purpose for which we are here. I would never have been able to write this article if I had not stepped outside my own comfort zone one year ago and started my own home -based business last January. Do you know that if you are not growing you\'re dying?
