The Money Is In The List
A very successful Internet marketer once said that if he lost everything the only thing he would need to start again was his list of subscribers.
His list of subscribers was everything to him, without it he would have to all over again.
Why would he say something like this? As he said, " everything else can be rebuilt, but you cannot rebuild a list that has taken months or years to build, not only that but there is also a relationship that is also developed with the list of clients as well."
So the moral of the story is, build your list.
If you are selling a product on your web site that is a good opportunity to build your list.
You can do this by simply providing a simple form with a "name" and "e-mail" field, visitors have to fill this in before they can receive more information or before they can download your trial version or product.
These days people are very cautious about giving their email address and name away to a form, so you have to make it clear to them in the form that you will not sell, or give away their details to any one else and that they can unsubscribe at any time.
Make sure also that they know to expect periodic e-mails from you so that they cannot complain about been spammed
Believe it or not there are some people who simply want things for nothing and will not want to give your their details, that is fine, my answer to them is go some where else then.
A great way to grab the attention of your visitors and acquire their emails and name is by using hover ads or flying ads, you see them every where these days, and they are always used to grab the e-mails and names of the visitors.
They are very effective in doing this; so implementing a hover ad on your web site is something you should really consider.
Another great way to build your list is by offering something of value to your clients, something free, even a mini course (as a series of auto mail outs) people love free things.
Once you build your list up you they become your potential clients.
A huge list can mean a huge opportunity for making great money with your list of clients.
So what are you waiting for, create that form and build your list.
